PC #85: Hiddensee

And so I joined this one interesting RR (Round Robin) called the Eyes Closed RR. Interesting because you pick the card you’ll send with your eyes closed. And Apperveilchen picked this nice card of Hiddensee, a carfree island in the Baltic Sea, located west of Rugen on the German coast. It’s a tourist destination even during the times of the German Democratic Republic, according to Wikipedia.

Apperveilchen wrote that dunes are pretty typical for the coasts in that area (island). I find the name of the island nice– ‘Hidden’ and then ‘see’. ^^

Amazing stamps used! One is of Marion Gräfin Dönhoff, one of the journalists who resisted Hitler’s National Socialists. And guess what, she’s a woman! The other two stamps are of course, flowers–Tulpe (tulip).
