PC #133: Upper Belvedere Palace, Vienna – Austria

Fantastic view of the Upper Palace of Belvedere in Vienna, Austria. The two palaces (Upper and Lower) were built for Eugene of Savoy by a famous Baroque architect, J.L. von Hildebrandt. The roof were made to look like Turkish tents to honor Prince Eugene’s defeat of the Turks in 1683. The palace houses an Austrian gallery with collection of 19th- and 20th- century Austrian paintings.

Vielen Dank, Babsy! I like Vienna as well. ^^

Upper Belvedere Palace

Pretty stamps of Alpen-goldregen and Gewohnlecher Schneeball. The one in the middle is of the Der Dritte Mann (The Third Man) film produced by Carol Reeds where most actors and actresses were Germans and Austrians.
