Asia meets the World RR
This card of a UNESCO site in Japan is from Cockie. It shows the Horyu-ji Temple located in Nora, which, according to the sender, is one of the old and ancient architectures of Japan. She also wrote that the five-storied pagoda and other wooden structures are designated as their national treasures. Thank you so much, Cockie!
March 11, 2011 marked a very sad day for Japan as an earthquake of 8.9 magnitude struck its northern coast, followed by a deadly tsunami. I still feel sorry for the thousands of lives lost and I do hope and pray that Japan will be able to recover soon. I also pray for its neighboring countries, especially the Philippines. God, we just experienced an intensity 5.8 earthquake a while ago. It wasn’t that serious, but who knows what’s gonna happen? Lord bless us!
