PC #144: Stralsund – Germany

My new postcard friend Friederike (such a unique name for a girl) thoughfully sent me this UNESCO card of the historical town of Stralsund. It is located along the coast of the Baltic Sea and grew quite important during the medieval times, according to my friend. And because the merchants who lived there were rich, they built three giant churches (which are all visible on the card). Germany has 16 states, and Stralsund is located in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Great thing my friend lives 2 hours away from the historical city, she can visit it anytime!

Thanks, Friederike!^^

Wonderful stamps of the 200 Jahre Museum fur Naturkunde in Berlin, Targetes or marigold, and the Bradenburger Tor. ^^
