Keychain #3: Frog from Palawan, Philippines

The rich island/s of Palawan is one of my dream destination for a perfect summer vacation. Palawan is known for the Subterranean River National Park located at the capital city of Puerto Princesa, and the Tubbataha Reef Marine Park. Both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

One of my organization mates, Maelyn, brought me this keychain after she went to the Subterranean River, the longest navigable underground river in the world, for a field trip in one of her classes. I envy her much for being able to explore the natural wonder.

Did you know that 52 languages and dialects are spoken in Palawan? And that an ancient man known as the Tabon man was excavated from the Tabon Cave in Palawan in 1962 by an American anthropologist named Robert Fox?
