Oh, Babsy sent two interesting cards all the way from Austria. 🙂
The first one is the majestic Church of St. Leopold, one of the most famous Art Nouveau churches in the world. It was built between 1904-1907 by Architect Otto Wagner. Oh, I’ve found an interactive image of the Church, as if it’s standing before you! And you can actually roam around and even inside the Church. Try it: Otto Wagner Church St. Leopold Steinhof (360cities.net)
The second card is a portrait of Kaiser Franz Joseph I and Kaiserin Elisabeth. Kaiser Franz Joseph I was Emperor of Austria, King of Bohemia, King of Croatia and Apostolic King of Hungary from 1848 until his death in 1916, King of Galicia and Lodomeria, Grand Duke of Cracow. He married Elisabeth (or Sisi) of Bavaria in 1854.
Here are the nice stamps:
Many thanks, Babsy! 🙂
