Doris sent me this nice card showing some famous spots in the largest German state. Let’s see.. The card contains:
Munich, or München, Bavaria’s capital. It’s the third largest city in Germany, next to Berlin and Hamburg.
Zugspitze, the highest peak of the Wetterstein Mountains and the highest mountain in Germany.
Schloβ Neuschwanstein, a 19th century Gothic revival palace built for Ludwig II of Bavaria, an inspiration to most of Disney’s castles. I would love to see it for myself someday. *hehe*
Schloβ Herrenchiemsee, a complex of royal buildings on the Herreninsel, an island in the middle of the Chiemsee, Bavaria’s largest lake.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a mountain resort town, my, it’d be lovely to live in a place surrounded with snow-capped mountains! Doris is so lucky.
And the last photo, the Tegernsee, Rottach Egern, is a spa town on the shore of Tegernsee lake. Beautiful, beautiful Bavaria😉
Danke schön, Doris! UNESCO site of Regensburg for a stamp:
