PC #262: Windblown trees on Hiddensee – Germany

A pretty sight of a tree being blown by the wind taken at the Insel Hiddensee (Hiddensee Island) in the Baltic Sea. My friend Friederike wrote, “Hiddensee is next to Germany’s biggest island Rügen. The both of them belong to Mecklenburg Vorpommern…. the coast of the Baltic Sea looks more or less the same wherever you go.” The German word for windblown is windflüchter (literally means someone who flees the wind). Very interesting card, I wish I could flee from the flow of life, but then I know God has prepared something for me so I should be patient.

The UNESCO site of Altstadt Regensburg for the stamp. Oh, too bad Munich was not chosen as the venue for the 2018 Winter Olympics. Pyeongchang, South Korea was chosen instead. Thanks for the card, Friederike!
