PC #285: Miag-ao Church – The Philippines

A great addition to my collection! Thanks to Ms. Shengkay for sharing this beautiful card showing the magnificent Miag-ao Church in Iloilo. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites “Baroque Churches of the Philippines”. Officially known as Santo Tomas de Villanueva, the Church is a prime example of Philippine rococo style, or stones/pebbles plus shells decoration. The fortress dates back to 1787. Would be fantastic to visit the place someday!

Beautiful, beautiful stamps! These include a rectangular one featuring the San Diego de Alcala Cathedral in Gumaca, Quezon Province. In addition to these are six old and used stamps Ate Shengkay thoughtfully posted on the back of the card. I love them all! über!! 😉
