PC #295: YeePeng Festival – Thailand

Such awesome sight almost took my breath away! And gosh this is just a postcard. Wow, beautiful lights floating in the sky in what Thais, specifically the locals of Chiangmai, call as the YeePeng Festival or the Festival of Lights. According to my friend, Tingtong, they set afloat on the Ping River in November thousands of lights into the night sky to drive away bad luck. How I wish I could fly my own krathong or lantern made from banana leaves. 😉

Many thanks to Tingtong. Wish she had a wonderful trip to Phang-Nga 😉 On the stamp is the Similan National Park in Phang-Nga:
