PC #323: Baku – Azerbaijan

Omg, my first postcard from Azerbaijan! Many thanks to Tural (http://www.postcrossing.com/user/tural145) for swapping with me. And since this is my first card from that exotic country (lol in my context), here’s some basic info:

Azerbaijan is a country in Eurasia. The name has some religious origins, but in modern times, it can be translated as “The Land of the Fire” (Modern Persian). Its capital is Baku, a landmark of which is shown on the card: the monument of Love, Faith and Hope located at the Molokan Square.
