PC #461: Warsaw in 1968 – Poland

Here’s a black and white postcard of the Aleje Jerozolimskie (Jerusalem Avenues), one of the principal streets in Warsaw, Poland. My friend Kama wrote interesting facts about the street and the scenario. Good thing she was able to recognize the street which is located in the city center and very near her university and her father’s old house. On the photo is a militiaman trying to help out a guy asking for directions. It was taken during the time when Poland was still under a communist system.

Kama used wonderful stamps of Polish architecture. ♥
