PC #464: Vilnius – Lithuania


Here’s a card from probably one of the most mysterious countries for me. Mysterious because I know little about it and it would take some Google minutes to locate it on the globe. Of course I know it’s in Europe.. but where exactly in Europe? Hehe. Anyways, the card was sent by Inesa (Nesik) and it features some famous spots in Vilnius, the capital city. The pictures include the Pilies street, the TV tower of Vilnius, the Stikliu street, the Gediminas Avenue, and the Vilnius Archcathedral-Basilica and Bell Tower.


Stamp was issued in 2007 and shows a drawing of the Crex crex or corn crake:
