PC #532: An ad card from France

FR – 188684

Alrighty, we have now an ad card from France. It was sent by Tortue (martine), who did not say anything much about the card. Hehe. Good thing I have a French friend, who helped by giving some translations.😄

I think it came from an exposition held in 2005 in a museum in Lyon. The artefacts shown were borrowed from the national Museum of Kuweit. And they have gotten the antiques and all from the Failaka Island situated at the end of the Shatt al-Arab (at the mouth of the Tigris and the Euphrates). So that’s about a hundred and fifty artefacts to show the rich cultural heritage of the place. Interesting!

Nice stamps used!
