Awesome art card from Yelena (vergi). Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn (1606-1669) is a 17th century Dutch painter and etcher. He is much celebrated as one of the greatest European painters and printmakers. Rembrandt is known for his portraits of his contemporaries, self-portraits, and illustrations of scenes from the Bible. On the card is a masterpiece entitled “The Sacrifice of Abraham” (1635).

Yelena wrote the painting can be found in one of Russia’s best museums  – the Hermitage.

Nice stamps include one which commemorates the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. Thanks to Yelena 😉
