DK #8: Bovbjerg fyr – DENMARK

A fantastic card showing the Bovbjerg lighthouse in Jutland from my dear pal, Christina. 🙂 The lighthouse was first lit in 1877, and from then on became important in sea navigation. 20130919_150527

Stamp used shows Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Tinderbox”. Tusind tak, Christina! ♥

DK #6: Fanø – DENMARK

A wonderful card from my pal, Christina! She’s helping me learn more Danish thru postcards! I still don’t know why I’m learning dansk. Oh well. XD

On the card are images related to the island of Fanø in the Wadden Sea southwest of Denmark. It is a holiday spot especially for the Danes, and is famous for its wildlife, the beaches and beautiful houses.

PC #455: Schleswig-Holstein – Germany

A beautiful illustrated map card of the northernmost state of Germany from Christina! Schleswig-Holstein’s capital city is Kiel, and their motto is Up ewich ungedeelt (“Forever undivided”).

Schleswig-Holstein: Land Between the Seas

Must be nice to live there, you can switch back and forth Denmark and Germany in no time at all! Hehe. Stamps include the epic flower ones and a Winterferien stamp! Thanks to Christina:

PC #379: Flensburg – Germany

Awesome aerial view of Flensburg, the northernmost city in Germany. You can also see Denmark in the background. It must be nice to live in a border, you get to be in two different countries at the same time!

Flensburg: Gateway to the North

My friend used really nice stamps. The bigger one shows the 100 years of the Hamburger Elbtunnel (*nom nom nom* jk). Danke schön, Christina ♥
